Conservation District offers scholarships
The Tygarts Valley Conservation District is pleased to announce it is offering two $1,500 college scholarships for the 2012-2013 school years. To be eligible for the scholarship you must be a high school senior, graduating in the spring of 2013, and planning to pursue a degree in agriculture or a natural resource-related field at a West Virginia college or university.
Students applying for the scholarship must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and it must be calculated by the school office. Each question on the application must be answered to qualify.
This scholarship is directed to help the students who have a special interest in the conservation of renewable natural resources. The students who are awarded the scholarship will receive a one-time award of $1,500 his or her freshman year.
