Farmers market seeks music, entertainment

Organizers of the Elkins Farmers Market are preparing for this year’s season, which will run each Saturday morning from May 4 through the end of October.

Once again, organizers are looking for music, education programs, workshops and other entertainment for the market. They would like to start scheduling folks as soon as possible.

New this year will be cooking demos. These will take place the third Saturday of June, July and August, thanks to a grant from West Virginia Food & Farm Coalition and assistance from West Virginia University Extension Service.

More information about participating in the market is available by contacting Jodi Burnsworth, manager of the Elkins Farmers Market, at jodi@lenscreek.com or visiting www.elkinsfarmersmarket.org.
