Mountain HSTA wins at symposium
On April 13, the Northern Region of Health Sciences and Technology Academy met at Morgantown High School to host the annual Science Symposium.
In attendance were the Mountain HSTA region (Barbour, Preston, Taylor and Tucker counties), Monongalia/Marion county region, Ohio/Marshall county region and the Eastern Panhandle region.
Throughout the day, students presented science projects they had researched during the past school year. At the end of the day, the closing ceremony revealed that Mountain HSTA had the highest average score of all Northern HSTA students, winning the regional symposium trophy.
The Mountain HSTA students attended the symposium along with field site coordinator Crystal Bays and Mountain HSTA teachers Brandi Ammons, Brandy Chandler, Tina Cool, Bill Barlow, James Poling, Mark Lamb, Kimberely Lipscomb and Kathy DiBacco. They group wanted to thank Mountain HSTA parents for all their help and support throughout the year, significantly contributing to the students’ success.
