Students attend education fair

Highland Adventist School students recently participated in a regional education fair.

The H.A.S. students entered more than 50 projects in four categories: science, social studies, Bible and art.

The fair, an annual event hosted in Summersville by Mountain View Conference, featured student entries from all around West Virginia. The H.A.S. students came away with a number of first-, second- and third-place ribbons.

In addition, Alex Engelkemier, H.A.S. junior, was awarded the prestigious Best of Show award for her science project entitled, “How do different variables affect the period of a pendulum?” Engelkemier is a student in Don Jacko’s physics class.

Highland Adventist School of Elkins provides college preparatory, Christian curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through 12.
