First Century Ministries to host local events
In the first century, young men became apprenticed to their father’s trade at the age of 15. Their fathers used tangible illustrations of their craft to teach the student spiritual truth, about God, and the relationship He desires with them.
Likewise, Wade and Jennifer Burleigh use tangible visual illustrations of various artistic expressions to share God’s truth as part of First Century Ministries, a nationwide traveling ministry with dramas and a real craftsman shop. Its members present God’s truths using dramatic sculpting, a pottery wheel creation, a painting, a red-hot blacksmith demonstration or a drama.
But what makes it all so special is their entire stage and costumes are right out of the days of Christ, and the teaching message is all about the unconditional love of Jesus. It is a highly enjoyable show for any age and for any denomination. Everyone is invited to come and take a trip back to the days of Christ, and to discover His unconditional love for all.
The Burleighs will bring this special event to First Baptist Church beginning this weekend. The presentation is set for 10:45 a.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Monday and again at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The public is invited to attend.
