Kane selected as Easter Seals ambassador

Former Elkins resident, Spencer Kane, has been chosen to be an Honorary Ambassador to the Easter Seals Delmarva chapter in Sussex County, Del. Some of Spencer’s duties as ambassador are to attend local charity events and luncheons and to appear in Easter Seals publications. His biggest duty is to participate in a Walk-A-Thon on Oct. 13 at the Baywood Golf Course in Lewes, Del. Spencer will “walk” the first nine holes for a total of 3 miles.

Spencer and his family are hoping to raise money and awareness for special needs children and adults. Spencer is a seventh-grader at Seaford Middle School. While in school, he participates in the Orthopedic-Handicap program. Spencer is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Roger Kane of Seaford, Del. Spencer is the grandson of Carroll Martin and the nephew of Clark Martin, both of Elkins.
