Pet show to benefit animal control Facility

The Robin’s Nest Travel Center, located just off Interstate 79 in Jane Lew, will host its third annual Pet Show at 10 a.m. Saturday to benefit the Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the pet show will get underway at 11 a.m. The contest categories will be Best Dog, Best Cat, Best of the Rest, Best Costume, Best Trick, Look-alike, Least Obidient and Bobbins Choice. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each best pet category and one in the remaining categories. There will be a photo certificate and medal for all contestants.

The entry fee is a cash donation or a donation of supplies for the shelter. In addition to dry and canned food, the shelter is need of kitty litter, bleach, detergent, dryer sheets and used sheets, blankets or towels.

The facility will have animals at the show which will be available for adoption.
