Wesleyan named best college in south
West Virginia Wesleyan College has been selected as a first tier college in the South in the latest U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 edition of “Best Colleges.” The United Methodist-related school was listed as the 14th best regional college.
In addition, Wesleyan was the only school in West Virginia to be included in the Great Schools at Great Prices category for the second consecutive year. Wesleyan was ranked 10th in the South in the category that includes academic quality and cost of attendance after financial aid. Over 90 percent of Wesleyan students receive scholarships and/or grants and the school’s average net cost of attendance for 2012-2013 was $18,740 after all scholarships and grants.
This is the third consecutive year the private residential school has been honored by U.S. News & World Report. The Princeton Review named Wesleyan in its Best in the Southeast in the “2014 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
