Beverly Elementary offering Fall Carnival

As the wind makes us feel that familiar fall shiver, so will the halls and classrooms of Beverly Elementary School during the Fall Carnival on Saturday.

Headed by the Beverly School PTO, parents, educators and students are working together to create an exciting, safe and fantastical event for the entire community.

Divided into several theme rooms, this year’s carnival features games for ghouls and boys of all ages, spooky stories, face painting, a mad scientist’s lab and many other thrilling activities.

Families are encouraged to dress in costumes and participate in a selection of spook-tacular contests including cake decorating, pumpkin carving and costumes. The decorated cake and pumpkin contests are pre-decorated and brought to the school then judged by everyone’s quarter vote. The one that earns the most money wins the trophy.

Participants can buy punch cards at the door for $5. Each punch card represents 20 punches, and depending on which activities children choose, cards will be punched accordingly. A special dinner of pepperoni rolls and mac and cheese will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and the carnival runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased at the school office.
