Parsons Senior Center hosting several events
The Parsons Senior Center will host a Halloween Party on Thursday for some fellowship and fun. The event will feature the Goldenaires Senior Center Choir and begin at 10:30 am.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Following lunch the costume parade participants will have a few minutes to change into their Halloween apparel, and the display of comical, frightful, and somewhat unusual characters will take place.
The Parsons Outpost of the Tucker County Senior Citizens will host their November meeting, program, and covered dish lunch on Nov. 5 and will consist of a presentation of items showing the unique talent of Tucker County seniors. Carvings, artwork, and several other item of interest will be showcased.
The Fiddlin’ Around The Orange Blossom Special trip is Nov. 13. The cost of the trip is $90 per person and includes transportation on a chartered coach, the tour of historic places in the Fairmont area, lunch, the performance of Johnny Cocran and Company at the Orange Blossom Special Theater, and tour gratuities. Eight to 10 people are needed to make the trip possible. Please stop by or call to get your name on the list as soon as possible in order to confirm reservations.
The Knitting Club will once again resume session on Nov. 4 following lunch. The sessions will be open for beginners, as well as refreshers for those who already knit.
Stop by and join in the knitting or just chat and see if there is something that interests you.
If enough interest is shown organizers will continue classes on Mondays at the Parsons Senior Center.
