Sharon Lynn Wood, 68, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2013, in the Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for several years.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eddie Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in Mingo Cemetery.

Sharon Lynn Wood, 68, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2013, in Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for several years.
She was born Nov. 2, 1945, at Hall, a daughter of the late Rollin V. Thompson and the late Georgia Ann Wagner Thompson.
She was married to Roy E. Wood, who survives at Valley Head.
Also surviving are one daughter, Anita Tacy and husband, Pete, of Huttonsville; one brother, Michael Thompson and wife, Darlene, of Huttonsville; and a nephew, Stuart Thompson.
Sharon was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School and attended business school at West Virginia University. She was employed as a secretary for several businesses, was a member of Mill Creek Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Tyrand Parish Choir. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, crafts, genealogy, her piano, singing and her pets.
