Barkley named Scottish Rite Mason of the Year

Illustrious Brother Teddy R. Barkley Jr. was named the 2013 Scottish Rite Mason of the Year.

Barkley, a native of Whitmer, joined the Scottish Rite in 1993 and became a Master of the Royal Secret in Baltimore, Md. He continued to work diligently in many areas of the Rite by taking part in degree work, helping on stage and with lodge meetings. Barkley was honored with the title of Knight Commander Court of Honor (KCCXH) at the Biennial Session in 1999,

Being a tireless worker, he continued with the various degrees and worked his way up in line in the Meredith Chapter of Rose Croix, where he was installed Wise Master.

In 2003, Barkley was nominated, elected and coroneted Inspector General Honorary at the Biennal Session in Washington, D.C.

Barkley is a Past Master of Washington Lodge No. 3 in Cockeysville, Md.

Brother Barkley and his wife, Gail, are very active in all Scottish Rite activities as well as many other club events.
