Public forum set for Monday

ELKINS – The Elkins Cultural Awareness and Enrichment Group will continue their public forum series focusing on local, state and national concerns about economics and how these and other factors influence the quality of life in our community.

The second session in the series will be held Monday at the Randolph County Courthouse Annex beginning at 6 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring “finger foods” and other light refreshments.

The evening topic will center on ways our community can build the capacity for sustainable growth in the 21st century through non-profits, education and sense of place. Leading the presentation will be Bob Dunkerley, president and CEO of Helianthus LLC (a public consultation group), a long-time resident and educator in Elkins.

Thirty folks attended the first forum and it is hoped that all will return with additional friends as well as other concerned citizens. For more information, email Carrie Kline at: kline@folktalk.org
