Tucker senior centers offering many activities

The Mountain Top Center will celebrate Father’s Day in conjunction with the June Birthday celebration on June 10. Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the senior center lunch. The Parsons Center will celebrate June 12, with the Goldenaires opening the festivities at 10:30 a.m.

– People needing help with starting the Medicare process may call Ann Fuller, SHIP representative, at 304-478-2423 to make an appointment. Also, if you are already on Medicare but have encountered a problem, you may call her. People who do not have prescription insurance and qualify, may be eligible for assistance through Prescription Assistance Program.

– The Aug. 5-6 trip to Lancaster Amish Country and Sights and Sounds Theater production of “Moses” appears to be full.

If any vacancies occur, they will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Those interested may call the center.

– Openings are still available for the Sept. 7-12 trip to Myrtle Beach and the Town of Mayberry.

– A dedication is being planned for the new Tucker County VA Health Clinic. If you are a veteran and are not registered for your medical benefits, you are urged to do so and take advantage of the services offered. The dedication date and plans will be announced soon.
