Art Stroll calling for local artists, businesses
Philippi Main Street and its partners are calling for local businesses as well as visual, musical, literary and dramatic artists and artisans who want to be part of this spring’s edition of Philippi’s highly successful Art Stroll series.
The spring Art Stroll is set for 5 to 8 p.m. April 30 along Philippi’s Main Street and on the Court House Square.
The hundreds of strollers from previous Art Strolls will remember outstanding paintings, watercolors, photographs and sketches from local artists and stained glass, baskets and fabric creations from local artisans. Also enjoyed by the many strollers was the music provided by local musicians along the stroll route – as well as the varied literary selections by this area’s talented writers.
Main Street planners hope to have additional art forms on exhibit this spring for community and surrounding area citizens to enjoy. All artists and artisans who want to participate in this evening of the arts are asked to call Tammy Stemple, Main Street director, at 304-457-3700; or Karen Larry, community volunteer, at 304-457-3773.
Main Street also is accepting donations to help defray the costs of sponsoring this event, which continues to be free.
