Livestock program applications being offered by ELAP

The Lewis-Upshur-Gilmer Farm Service Agency Office is currently accepting applications for the Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) and Emergency Assistance for livestock, honeybees and farm raised fish (ELAP).

LIP provides benefits to livestock owners for commercial livestock deaths in excess of normal mortality caused by adverse weather. LIP payments are equal to 75 percent of the average fair market value of the livestock.
