A WAVE AND A SMILE — Junior Royalty for the 67th annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival were all smiles during Thursday’s Junior Royalty Parade. The annual event highlights various youth groups from across the state. View additional photos at www.theintermountain.com.
Thursday marked the first full day of activities and events scheduled during the 67th annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival in Buckhannon. The activities began early as the annual diaper derby and strawberry blonde competitions got underway at 10 a.m. in Jawbone Pavilion. Capturing first place in the diaper derby’s 6-12 months category was Skylar Lowe. Second place was awarded to Joel Smith with third place going to Austin Stinson. In the 13 months to 2-years category, the winners were Adilyn Stinson, first place; Brooklyn Smith, second place; and Jacob Ham, third place.
