From a Senator to Silvia

Figueroa, a freshman at D&E, will reside at Graceland Inn during Festival week and receive her crown at the Outdoor Amphitheatre on the College campus.
An art major at Davis & Elkins College, Maid Silvia Alia Figueroa spends much of her time in the art studio in the lower level of Myles Center for the Arts where Associate Professor of Art Michael Doig guides students in expressing their creativity. Figueroa says she has always had a love for drawing and plans to make a career in art after earning a degree at D&E.
As one of the newest members of the Davis & Elkins College Art Club, Maid Silvia Alia Figueroa assists the club and the Office of Counseling and Wellness with Woof Wednesday. The event, in partnership with the Randolph County Humane Society, brings canines to campus for two hours of fun for students.
