60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Dick celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at home on the Laurel Mountain Road in Elkins. The couple were married Feb. 23, 1953, in Elkins, by the Rev. Emmit Winn.

Mrs. Dick, the former Mary Ann Carlson, is the daughter of the late Ronald and Emma Kiess Carlson. She was a well-known seamstress for many years. She enjoys flowers, collecting frogs and spending time with her family.

Mr. Dick is the son of the late Worlie and Bertha Knapp Dick. In earlier years, he was a builder of muzzleloading rifles, an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.

They have three sons, Steven at home; David and wife, Kim, of Haddix Road in Elkins; and Mark and wife, Cheryl, of Manassas, Va. They also have two grandchildren, Angela Dick Howell and husband, Donald of Elkins; and Allen Dick of Elkins. They also have two stepgrandchildren, Gabriel Seiger of Manassas, Va., and Daniel Seiger with the U.S. Army in South Korea; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
