Curtis and Thelma White

Curtis and Thelma White of Peeltree in Barbour County will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 26.

They were married June 29, 1956 in Adrian.

Mr. White is retired from Badger Coal Co., Pittston Coal Group after 29 1/4 years of service.

Mrs. White is a homemaker.

They have three biological children – the late Bradley White; Belenda Sandy of Mt. Nebo in Upshur County and husband, the late Denny Sandy; and Stacy White and wife, Tonya, of Peeltree. They have an adopted son, Nathan and wife, Karen, of Ridgeway, S.C. The also have four grandchildren, Chrissy Sandy, Melanie Gillum and Stephan Sandy, all of Mt. Nebo and Madison White of Peeltree; and six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Channing and Kiya Gillum and Koan Runk, all of Mt. Nebo, Halie Green of Buckhannon and Miranda Kittle of Ridgeway, S.C.

Their children will host a 60th wedding anniversary celebration, where all friends and relatives are invited, from 2-4 p.m. June 26 at South Buckhannon Mission Church, located at the corner of Randolph and Madison streets in Buckhannon. Gifts are to be omitted, but cards are welcome.
