Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Teter

50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Teter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 15.

Douglas Teter and the former Carol Ann Smith were married June 15, 1968, at the Dryfork Assembly of God. It was a beautiful summer day surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Teter is the son of the late Ted and Lena Bonner Teter of Flanagan Hill.

Mrs. Teter is the daughter of the late Earl and Virginia Harr Smith of Akron, Ohio.

In the years that followed, he worked diligently on his farm and father’s farm as well as for High Country Surveying. She made her career in teaching for the Randolph County Board of Education. She retired in 2013 with 33 1/2 years of teaching. They continue to enjoy farming, gardening and sitting on the front porch with their family. They are also faithful members of Bright’s Chapel in Hendricks.

The union produced three daughters and sons, Dr. Cheryl Lyn Bennett and husband, Nathan Brian, of Flanagan Hill, Charlotte Lea Armentrout and husband, Darryl, of Harman and Elizabeth Ann Bonner and husband, Marcus, of Canaan Crossing, and seven beautiful grandchildren, Isaac, Levi, Isabella, Sheridan, Drexell, Brayden and Harmony.
