An open house, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Earsel and Mardell (Snyder) Stemple, will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 88 S Kanawha St. in Buckhannon. They were married by the late Rev. Ross Linger on a Wednesday afternoon at the First United Methodist Church Parsonage. They have three daughters, Sandra Sue Bennett, Rebecca Stemple-Jackson married to Douglas Jackson, and Melodie Stemple married to Scott Tennant. They also have grandchildren, Sarah Bennett-Harper, husband John, and Steve Bennett, wife Amanda and three great-grandchildren, Zoe Marie Harper, Kayleigh Sue Bennett and Hallie Dawn Bennett. Gifts are to be omitted but let good wishes be your only gift to the couple.
