Lois Steward Clingerman
Lois Steward Clingerman was honored by her children with a four-day weekend celebration for her birthday.
Mrs. Clingerman was born Aug. 16, 1938.
The weekend began with the surprise arrival of daughter, Sherri, and husband, Danny, from Longview, Texas. This was followed by a second surprise arrival of her granddaughter, Jessica Goude from Denver, Colorado.
Friday was spent with family driving all over Tucker County visiting Grandma Stewart’s home place and Great-grandpa Wingfield’s grave site. Saturday was an all-day picnic beginning with breakfast with the Boy Scout Mountaineer breakfast and Dan Wetsch’s recipe of fried apples made by Steve Clingerman. Lunch was prepared by many hands and enjoyed by all. Presents and cake followed with the scrapbook with family pictures along with 100 memories of her from all the kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.
We are so thankful to God to have given us the privilege of being her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom has given us a legacy of love that we will carry to our children and children’s children,” her children said.
