Wanda Shinn Mitchell

Wanda Shinn Mitchell of Belington will celebrate her 95th birthday May 20 with family and friends.

Mrs. Mitchell, a life-long resident of Barbour County, is the daughter of Daniel and Nancy Ware.

She has two sons, David Shinn of Cary, North Carolina, and Paul Shinn of Elkins, one granddaughter, Carolyn Ricciardelli and one great-grandson of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Throughout the years, she has enjoyed sharing her love of Christ as a Sunday school teacher, and she owned and ran the Golden Rule Department Store in Belington until retiring in 1999. She enjoys working word-search puzzles and praying for family and friends while riding her stationary bike.
