April Violet Smith and Nicholas Tyler Cutright

April Violet Smith of Buckhannon, and formerly of Mill Creek, and Nicholas Tyler Cutright of Buckhannon announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Max and Ronda Finlen Smith of Dailey. She is a 2015 magna cum laude graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelor of science in accounting and is employed as a financial aid counselor at her alma mater.

Her fiance is the son of Brent and Debbie Heavner Cutright of Buckhannon. He is a 2014 magna cum laude graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelor of science in accounting. He also is a 2015 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and is employed as an apprentice funeral director at his family’s business, Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.

The couple met while they were pursuing their accounting degrees at the Wesleyan School of Business. They have a great love for the college and the town of Buckhannon, where they plan to reside following the honeymoon.

A Nuptial Mass will be celebrated in April at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Weston with the Rev. Father Steve Vallelonga as celebrant.

Following the reception, the couple will sail on a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas.
