Cutright family hosts gathering

Betty Cutright and her husband, Bob, of Harpertown hosted a number of her nieces and nephews at an impromptu brunch Sept. 20, Several other members of her family were also in attendance.

Mrs. Cutright was honored by 20 family members at the brunch at the First United Methodist Church in Elkins. Not all of her family were able to attend, but well wishes were extended by all. Aunt Betty, a retired nurse, is looking forward to celebrating her 94th birthday in October. She and her husband are members of the Landmark Baptist Church in Elkins and are longtime residents of the Harpertown community.

Mrs. Cutright wore her Ferguson Tartan plaid jacket and skirt, while her nephew, Buck Ferguson, and his son, David, wore their Ferguson kilts in honor of the occasion. The Ferguson family first settled in Randolph County in the late 1790s and are a part of the county’s significant history.
