Beth Ann Henry and Gary Mark Vance were united in marriage in a private outdoor setting June 27, 2012, at The White Doe Inn in Manteo, N.C. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Bob Woody.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Kathleen Henry, of Minnehaha Springs. She is the granddaughter of Martin and Ame Holzman, of Mukwonago, Wis., and the late Alvie and Ruth Henry.
The bride is a graduate of Pocahontas County High School and a 2003 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, with an emphasis in print and online journalism. She is employed as city editor of The Inter-Mountain in Elkins.
The groom is the son of Bob Vance, of Upper Tract, and Carma and James Huffman, of Franklin. He is the grandson of Larry and Rose Sturgill, of Fort Seybert, and the late Fred and Ruby Vance.
He attended Pendleton County High School and graduated in 2008 from Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College in Moorefield, after earning a commercial driver’s license and hazardous materials certification. He is employed as a driver at Southern States in Elkins.
Following the ceremony, the couple visited the North Carolina Aquarium, enjoyed dinner at 1587 Restaurant and went for an evening swim at the beach in Nags Head, N.C.
After a honeymoon at the Outer Banks, the couple resides in Elkins.
