Johnita Esther and Raman Santra
Johnita “Jo” Esther Palmer and Raman Santra were married Oct. 18 at Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington, D.C. A reception followed.
Jacob Levy, a friend of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ronal and Shynita Davis of Montgomery, Ala. She is a 2002 graduate of The Montgomery Academy and earned a Bachelor of Arts in public policy studies and a Certificate in health policy from Duke University in 2006. She is a health care policy consultant in Washington, D.C.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. N. and Arati Santra, formerly of Elkins, currently residing in Alexandria, Va. He is a 2000 graduate of Elkins High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in history and American studies from the University of Virginia in 2004 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 2007. He is an attorney for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Inspector General.
Music at the ceremony was provided by Voce Chamber Singers, while the band Playlist performed at the reception.
The couple honeymooned for two weeks across Spain and resides in Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C.
