Melinda Kennedy and Allen Adams
Allen Adams of Petersburg and Melinda Kennedy of Bemidji, Minn. were married in an outdoor, double-ring ceremony at noon Aug. 15 at Benjamin Lake, Blackduck, Minn. The ceremony was officiated by Rita Haller.
The bride is the daughter of Richard Smith of New York and Sharron Kennedy of Georgia.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Adams of Petersburg.
The bride worn a white gown with spaghetti straps and a train. She honored the traditions of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. She carried a bouquet made by the bridegroom’s mother, Martha Adams, of red and blue roses with baby’s breath. She was given in marriage by her son, Alex.
Randi Chandler, the bride’s best friend, of Bemidji, Minn,. was the maid of honor. She wore a long, navy blue gown and carried a bouquet of blue roses also made by Martha Adams.
The bridegroom wore dark pants, a white, long-sleeved shirt, blue and black tie and black vest. He wore a blue boutonniere also made by Martha Adams that matched the bride’s bouquet.
Brandon Hunter, the bridegroom’s best friend, of Bemidji, Minn., was the best man. He wore dark pants, a white shirt and blue and black tie with a blue boutonniere made by Martha Adams.
An outside reception took place at Pat Gambles’ and Ashley Casper’s, close friends of the couple.
Music was provided by Jason Hunter of Bemidji, Minn., close friend of the couple.
The groom is employed at C.D. Haugen in Bemidji, Minn. They will reside in Bemidji, Minn.
