Mr. and Mrs. KAO Statton

Mr. and Mrs. KAO Statton

Chelsea LeAnn Anderson, daughter of Roger and Missy Anderson of Buckhannon, and KAO Statton, son of Miki Wilson of Las Vegas Nevada, were married at 6 p.m. June 30 in an outdoor event at the Riverbend Golf Course in Buckhannon, and the reception followed inside in the reception hall. The ceremony was ministered by a family friend.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was also accompanied to the altar by her maid of honor, Cyndi Rowan, and her little cousin, Keylee Shaye Phillips, as her bridesmaid.

The bridegroom was accompanied by his best man, Ryan Gillum, and the groomsman, Johnny Wilt, uncle of the bride, who carried the important last warning sign that said “It’s too late to run KAO cuz here she comes!” After giving the bride away, the bride’s father stayed lined up by the groomsmen. He is also the bridegroom’s best friend, and the bridegroom requested he be one of the groomsmen.

The couple would like to give many thanks to the family members that made the wedding possible. The bride’s aunt, Crystal Wilt, served as a wedding coordinator. Lori Dean served as the wedding photographer as well as decorating the reception hall and planning. The bride’s aunt, Connie Elmore, designed all the wedding bouquets and boutonnieres as well as the memorial flowers for the memorial table. Bobbie Phillips was the cake decorator and made all the wedding signs and the wedding soundtracks that guests picked up as a wedding favor. The bride’s aunts, Melody McVay, Sandy Keysling and Janice Ball, were responsible for the food for the reception.

The bride was born and raised in Buckhannon. She is a 2011 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and has been employed at Lowe’s Home Improvement store since 2012.

The bridegroom is from Las Vegas Nevada and has lived in Buckhannon since 2013. The couple met the first night KAO went out on the town in Buckhannon, and they have been together ever since. He has worked for the bride’s father’s company for four years as the foreman doing construction and masonry work.

The new couple will go skydiving this summer for their honeymoon.
