Belington business conducts ribbon cutting

Members of the Belington City Council, downtown store owners and family friends marked the opening of LeLynn’s Lullabies on Crim Avenue in Belington with a recent ribbon cutting. Belington native Tina McCumbers with her husband, Rick, from Moatsville, were joined by Belington Mayor Jody Haller and members of the city council for the big event.

“The idea for LeLynn’s Lullabies came about from my first-born grandson LeLynn,” McCumbers said. “We decided to open the store in hopes of helping the community with reasonably priced things. LeLynn’s Lullabies specializes in baby items, but also offers other merchandise, such as clothing, candle sets, toothbrushes, even tape,” she said. The store’s telephone number is 304-823-1920.

Participating were Haller, Councilman Max Grove, Councilman Jerry Phillips, Barbour Chamber Past-President Karen Bialek of Bialek Insurance, Councilman Marshall Reed, Mystee Carter from Freedom Bank, family friend Matraca Pharis, Tina McCumbers, Nancy Righman of Freedom Bank, Ann Blosser from The Floral Mix, Freedom Bank Vice President Terri Kittle, Chamber President Jeff Rogers who is president of BC Bank, Councilman Bobby King and Sheila Crihfield of R&S Tuxedos. The public is invited to come in and get acquainted.
