Citizens Bank partners with schools
Citizens Bank of West Virginia President and CEO Thomas K. Derbyshire presented three local elementary school principals with $500 checks each as a partner-in-education commitment, including Beverly Elementary, Midland Elementary and Jennings Randolph Elementary.
“Citizens Bank is proud to continue a long-time partnership with our schools as we recognize the importance students play in the future of our communities,” Derbyshire said. “In addition to an annual financial contribution, we operate a weekly bank-at-school program in our Randolph County partner schools and have staff members who serve on Local School Improvement Councils, teach financial education classes, serve as Social Studies Fair judges, and participate in other initiatives.
“Students from our partner schools often visit the bank on field trips, and our partners know they can always count on Citizens as a resource to enrich their education programs.”
Citizens Bank also serves as a partner-in-education with schools in Tucker and Pocahontas Counties including Tucker Valley Elementary/Middle School and Pocahontas County High School.
Citizens Bank of West Virginia, with headquarters in Elkins, offers full service banking, trust, and investment services.
The bank has $207 million in consolidated assets and operates four banking offices and nine ATM facilities in Randolph, Tucker and Pocahontas counties.
