Mountain Hospice workers receive national certification
Several Mountain Hospice employees recently achieved certification through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses, including six hospice aides and a social worker.
Achievement of this highly regarded certification reflects the initiative and commitment of the Mountain Hospice team to provide the most excellent end-of-life care possible. This certification involves an intense process that evaluates and validates expertise in the hospice care specialty including the hospice philosophy, pain and symptom management, and the death and dying process.
Mountain Hospice, a nonprofit organization serving Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph and Tucker counties, employs many (CHPN) certified hospice and palliative care nurses, (CHPNA) certified hospice and palliative nursing aides, and (CHPSW) certified hospice and palliative social workers.
