ON TRAC to host wrap-up session

Elkins ON TRAC will host a wrap-up session for activities in downtown Elkins during the 2012 Polar Express and holiday season. Everyone is invited to provide positive input at the session, which will be held at 12 noon in the Caboose Room of the Elkins Depot Jan. 9.

Hoy Ferguson, chair of the Economic Restructuring Committee and ON TRAC board member, will moderate the session.

“I’d like to talk about what went well and discuss ways we can improve to help us build on what we have done,” Ferguson said. “It’s important to do this while it’s fresh in our minds to have the greatest impact on future planning.”

ON TRAC hopes to bring all partners-railroad and city officials, Polar Express performers, decorating and event planners, businesses and volunteers, and others who are interested in the discussion-to the table for this open forum to help with planning for 2013.

ON TRAC Project Manager/VISTA Karen Carper said community participation and collaboration are the most important components of the group’s work to revitalize downtown Elkins. “ON TRAC sincerely appreciates the cooperative spirit that helped us accomplish so much in 2012,” she said. “I look forward to working with everyone again in 2013 to bring even better results.”
