Tucker Commission has new leader

Mike Rosenau has been elected to fill the position of Tucker County Commission president.

At Wednesday morning’s meeting, commissioner Lowell Moore made a motion nominating Rosenau. Commission members voted unanimously to fill the position.

This week’s meeting was the first for Commissioner Diane Hinkle. During the November general election, she was elected to replace Tom Carr, who finished his term in December.

“I am ready to represent the county, and I am proud to do so,” she said.

In other news, the commission voted to extend William Dilly’s position, as county clerk of the works, for an additional 30 days.
