Radiology group on way
Foundation Radiology Group, the premier provider of diagnostic imaging services for community hospitals, is pleased to announce it has entered into an exclusive radiology services agreement with Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston.
SJMH, a 70-bed facility, has offered a full-range of medical care to residents of Weston and central West Virginia in the current facility since 1972 and overall for over half a century. Since its founding, SJMH has delivered the best possible combination of primary and specialized care in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner.
“The partnership with Foundation reinforces our vision to ensure that our mission is fulfilled as a result of our continuous assessment and improvement of patient care. Foundation’s Elegant Radiology model provides access to superior subspecialty radiologists and a consistent onsite radiologist presence that we were not afforded with our prior group,” said Avah Stalnaker, chief executive officer of SJMH.
“Following significant investments in our core imaging technologies and planned future investments, we’re confident that with Foundation’s assistance and utilization of their FRIENDS Physician Outreach program we will now be able to expand existing and offer new service lines that we have been unable to provide in the past,” continued Stalnaker. “We will now be able to offer patients in the Weston and surrounding communities radiology services that are the equal to or better than those of any in the region.”
Foundation Radiology brings the expertise of a large, highly-skilled team of imaging experts to community hospitals across the area. By partnering with Foundation, these hospitals are able to rapidly expand the capabilities of their imaging team in order to keep their patients local.
“We are very excited about our new relationship with Stonewall Jackson as our first hospital partner in West Virginia,” said Tom Skelton, CEO, Foundation Radiology Group. “As it’s our vision to revolutionize the practice of radiology in community hospitals, we look forward to working with clinical and administrative leadership at SJMH to provide their patients access to broader and more innovative imaging services.
Skelton added, “With the challenges of health care reform upon us, the need to deliver high quality radiology services has never been higher.”
