PHILIPPI — Pajamarama — Holidays Around the World was Dec. 15 in Philippi. Children and adults attended in their pajamas.

During Pajamarama — Holidays Around the World, the children learned how Christmas is celebrated in other cultures and learned about holidays around the world. Participants also played games, sang carols, made crafts and enjoyed snacks, Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. Children also received a Christmas or winter book, a gift and a goody bag.

Pajamarama — Holidays Around the World was sponsored by the Philippi Public Library, Philippi Main Street and the Healthy Families Initiative, the Philippi Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Market Place, Broaddus Hospital and Barbour County Health Department.

Philippi Public Library, Philippi Main Street and Philippi Convention and Visitors Bureau are currently planning a spring event for children.  “Seussapalooza,” will take place March 25.
