Sophia Martino

Sophia Martino competed in the West Virginia United States Pageant earlier this year in Beckley and won the title of Miss Jr. Teen West Virginia United States. Martino also won the award for Miss Photogenic, Best Evening Gown and the Overall Lifestyle and Fitness Award.

Martino, 15, attends Notre Dame High School where she is a member of the track team, golf team, Key Club and Junior National Honor Society where she served as vice president. She has one sister, Gianna, and is the daughter of Gary and Donna Rohr Martino of Bridgeport and the granddaughter of James and JoAnn Rohr of Buckhannon and the late Dave and Margaret Martino of Clarksburg.

The primary goal of the Miss United States Pageant is to provide a life-changing experience for young vibrant women across the country. The organization strives to empower all delegates to become active participants of the community while nurturing and promoting a cause meaningful to her. Martino has always had a passion for helping those in need and has proudly selected Helping the Hungry as her platform in an effort to bring attention to the countless number of people who are struggling with hunger throughout our state.

Martino will join other contestants from across the country for a week of multi-divisional competitions where she will represent West Virginia in competing for the national title of Miss Jr. Teen United States.
