Arts Center to host Brown Bag

ELKINS — Clarinetist Richard Rubock and Friends will play the September Brown Bag Concert at noon Wednesday in the Great Hall or The Arts Center.

Rubock, who has performed with the United States Army Field Band, Maryland Symphony, Annapolis Symphony, and Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic, will give a recital at the Brown Bag Concert.

He will be joined by pianist Donna Huffman, flautist Katy McClane, and classical guitarist John Vaughan.

The concert will feature Concerto in A for Clarinet, K.622, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Flower Duet from the opera Lakme by Leo Delibes, Gymnopedie No. 1 by Erik Satie, and Sonatina Contrafacta, movement 2, by Judson Bracey among other

selections.

The Arts Center’s Brown Bag Concerts are held the third Wednesday of each month, at noon, and are free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy an hour of music.
