RTC students selling raffle tickets
ELKINS — The Digital Bytes Simulated Workplace at Randolph Technical Center has produced raffle tickets for the RTC SkillsUSA Club. The annual raffle will take place during the Mountain State Forest Festival.
The students of Digital Bytes, instructed by Reka Rowan, collaborated to copy, count, perforate, staple and group the tickets into booklets of six. The ability to do this was made possible by the addition of a new piece of equipment that handles the perforating and slicing of the tickets.
Tickets will be sold for $1 each or six for $5; the drawing will be at 9 p.m. Saturday. There will be five prizes given out from the drawing, and the prizes are as follows: first place will be awarded an 8X12 storage building or $1,000; second place will receive a Remington Model 870 12-gauge shotgun or $300; third place will acquire a custom gun cabinet; fourth place will be given a custom-made fire ring; and fourth place will receive a handmade knife.
To purchase a raffle ticket, contact a SkillsUSA member or stop by the building located in the Huntington Bank drive-through. during festival.
