Purple Majesties host November meeting

PARSONS — The Elkins Purple Majesties Red Hats hosted its November meeting Monday at The Dugout Restaurant in Parsons with 27 in attendance.

Queen Mothers Debbie Cook and Carole Helmick presided over the meeting.

The meeting was hosted by Duchesses Bonnie Swyter, Connie Collins, Dorothy Judy and Janet Coleman.

November birthdays were announced and members serenaded birthday Connie Collins and Sandy Karlan with their kazoos.

Prior to lunch, Dorothy Judy conducted the blessing. After lunch, the Majesties played games and door prizes were awarded by the Duchesses to the lucky ticket holders. Also, a raffle was won by Karlan for a special Red Hat Doll.

The December meeting will be Dec. 11 at the Elks Club in Elkins. Social hour will begin at 5 p.m., and dinner will follow at 6 p.m.

All Majesties are asked to bring unwrapped gifts for children to be donated to Toys for Tots. Current and former queens will host the event.
