Radio club hosts Christmas meeting
ELKINS — For the second year in a row, members of the Mountain State Transmitters Amateur Radio Club selected Mark Sweitzer to head up the slate of officers for their organization during their December meeting and Christmas dinner at the Western Steer Steakhouse in Elkins.
Other officers include Vice President Jeffery Broschart; Secretary/Treasurer Eric Stemple; and Activities Director Morris Kittle.
The Mountain State Transmitters Amateur Radio Club meets at 1:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month at the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Kerens. Any amateur radio operator or anyone interested in amateur radio is welcome to attend the meetings.
The group hosts the Mountain State FM Net beginning at 9 p.m. each Saturday on the KD8MIV repeater located at 145.370 mhz with a tone of 103.5. Immediately following this Net is the Mountain State Digital Net on the same frequency.
