Local Fairmont State University students named to fall dean’s, president’s lists

FAIRMONT — A total of 1,149 students have been honored for their academic achievement at Fairmont State University after completing the fall 2017 semester.

Dr. Christina Lavorata, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, has released the dean’s list and the president’s list to recognize high-achieving students for their academic distinction. Full-time students who earned a 3.4 or better grade point average are named to the dean’s list. Full-time students achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average are named to the president’s list.

Local students achieving the president’s list are: Joseph Anglin, Callie Carpenter, Sarah Kelley, Kayla Kerns, Emily Meader, Sophia Shumway and Hannah Swick of Barbour County; Elizabeth Ford and Koda Hedrick of Grant County; Phillip Combs, Braxton Cook, Jackie Funkhouser and Michael Miller of Hardy County; Garrett McCurdy and Hannah Nelson of Pocahontas County; Hailey Cogar, Tessa Krantz and Lars Lehmann of Randolph County; Abigail Holm of Tucker County; and Reno Cutright, Alexander Ellis, Allison Lampinen and Caitlyn Lampinen of Upshur County.
