Family Care office announces move

PHILIPPI — Broaddus Family Care is getting a new home.

On March 5, patients will be welcomed to a new location in Broaddus Hospital at 2 Healthcare Drive, Philippi.

Currently located in the Medical Professional Building behind the hospital, the new medical office will provide patients with more exam and testing rooms, and easy access to hospital diagnostic services.

Whitney Mayle, RN, clinical manager for Broaddus Family Care, said the new space is more conducive to an integrated care model where patients can conveniently access family care, lab and radiology services and other specialty services at Broaddus like pulmonary rehab.

“The overall patient experience will be improved with better patient flow to various healthcare services,” Mayle said.

Broaddus Family Care is comprised of the family care team of Dr. Garrett Butler and physician assistant Jennifer Duvall, PA-C, MPAS. They offer comprehensive family-centered care for individuals of all ages and all stages of life. Both providers are currently accepting new patients.

Broaddus Hospital CEO Dana Gould said having family care accessible within the hospital broadens the depth of care and convenience offered to patients.

“We can fulfill most aspects of preventive, diagnostic, emergent, inpatient, skilled rehab, and long-term care right here in one location,” Gould added.

An open house for the public to tour the new medical offices is planned for April when Broaddus Hospital hosts the annual Barbour County Health Fair.

To access the new Broaddus Family Care office, patients should park in the main parking area and enter through the clinic door adjacent to the main door of the hospital. For more information or to schedule an appointment with Butler or Duvall, anyone interested can call 304-457-1522.
