College offering FAFSA session

ELKINS — Davis & Elkins College will host a session for anyone needing help in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Benedum dining room.

The free event will be presented by the Office of Financial Planning and D&E Upward Bound.

Chelsey Toms, academic adviser for D&E Upward Bound, and Tessa Randolph, associate director of financial planning, will be available to assist students with the goal of having the forms completed by the April 1 deadline.

Completing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps for anyone enrolled in a degree or certificate program or preparing for education and training beyond high school.

Those participating in the session should bring their FAFSA login information and relevant tax information. An iPad will be available for completing the form, but students may bring their personal laptops if they prefer.

Information will be kept completely confidential, and participants will work one-on-one with financial aid experts.
