Arts Center set to host special event

ELKINS — The Randolph County Community Arts Center will host an Arts, Antiques & Collectibles show and sale Friday and Saturday.

Featuring more than a dozen vendors from the region, the event will include numerous antiques, handcrafted arts, glass, collectible stamps and coins, vintage Harley-Davidson clothing, a working blacksmith and live entertainment.

“This is the only event of its kind in the area, and with the amount of items for sale, we expect a big turnout,” said Arts Center Executive Director Kurt Barkley. “The variety of things for sale is amazing, there’s something for everyone.”

Vendors will be selling ceramics, antiques, toys, cigar-box guitars, furniture, antler art, minerals, fossils and jewelry.

Doors will open to the public at 3 p.m. Friday and again at 10 a.m. Saturday.

“With the car show in City Park on Saturday, we wanted to do our part to give visitors one more thing to experience downtown while they’re here,” said Barkley. “Elkins is a very special place, with a lot to do, and we want to add to that excitement.”

Admission is free and open to the public.
