Miss Beverly Pageant scheduled for Saturday

BEVERLY — Miss Beverly 2018 will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tygart Valley Christian Academy.

Nine girls will compete in four phases of competition: Backstage Interview, Onstage Interview, WOW Wear and Evening Gown for one prestigious crown and nine overall awards.

Yasmin Faith Ewashkow, 13, is the daughter of Robert and Mishie Ewashkow. She has brown hair and brown eyes and will be a seventh-grader at Tygart Valley Christian Academy. She enjoys drawing, camping, hiking and spending time with her friends and family. Ewashkow is being sponsored by Gina Wright and Pitter Patter Day Care.

Tiaearigra “Tia” Mathews, 15, is the daughter of Chasity Shifflett and Eric Cochran. She is the granddaughter of Steven Shreve, Annette Lacey and Sally Mae Cochran. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes and will be a junior at Elkins High School. She enjoys dancing, singing, performing, being a member of the band, twirling, reading, whitewater rafting, tree climbing, swimming, listening to music, hanging out with her friends, nature walking and traveling. She is an active member of Upward Bound, the Tigerettes and Indoor Guard. She is also an honor roll student.

Bailey Morgan Bishop, 16, is the daughter of Melissa Kisner. She has brown hair and brown eyes and will be a junior at Elkins High School. She enjoys kayaking, swimming, playing with her cats and dogs, and she enjoys the company of all animals. She is interested in the criminal justice field and hopes to one day work for the FBI. She is an honor roll student, a photographer for the yearbook and writes for her journalism class. Bishop is being sponsored by R&R Developers.

Anna Grace Simmons, 15, is the daughter of Jeffrey Simmons and Ginny Rast. She is the granddaughter of Jeff and Faye Simmons. She has red hair and brown eyes and will be a sophomore at Elkins High School. She enjoys singing, riding four wheelers and doing makeup. She works at DMPC and volunteers for Upward Bound Basketball. Simmons is being sponsored by Simmons Lumber Company.

Rhianna Hardy, 17, is the daughter of Daniel and Cindy Hardy. She has brown hair and green eyes and will be a senior at Elkins High School. She enjoys lyric conversion, singing, twirling, dancing, drawing and auto and diesel mechanics. She is a member of All County choir, All County Band, and she is also a SKILLS USA Certified Automobile Inspector. She also plans on trying out for American Idol in September. Hardy is being sponsored by Mary’s Greenhouse Inc.

Maria Baritell, 16, is the daughter of Wendy Thompson. She has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes and will be a junior at Tygart Valley Christian Academy. She enjoys doing gymnastics and cheering. Baritell is being sponsored by Ginger Bread House Day Care.

Alexus Bennett, 15, is the daughter of Heather Bennett. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and will be a sophomore at Elkins High School. She enjoys doing gymnastics and horseback riding. She is also an honor roll student. Bennett is being sponsored by The Integrity Wood Products Co.

Gabriella “Gabi” Sue Satterfield, 15, is the daughter of Adam and Casey Stiles and Tim Satterfield. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Sue Blankenship and Danny and Becky Satterfield. She has brown hair and green eyes and will be a sophomore at Elkins High School. She enjoys cheering, dancing and tumbling at AXIS Dance Studio, teaching classes at Axis and spending time with friends and family. Gabi was the former 2013 Little Miss Beverly, a 2015 Mountain State Forest Festival Jester and the 2016 Miss Teen Randolph County. She is also an honor roll student. Satterfield is being sponsored by Frankie’s Pizza, Betty’s Boots and Champion Auto.

Rochelle Shoulders, 17, is the daughter of Tammy and Doug Shoulders. She has blondish/brown hair and blue eyes and will be a senior at Elkins High School. She enjoys being an active member of the Tigerettes and being a member of the band. She is an honor roll student, a three-year Indoor Guard Member, a three-year Tigerette and a four-year band member. She is also a Promise Scholar for Glenville State. Shoulders is being sponsored by Warner’s Farm.

Minor Court

Aria Elizabeth Waddell, 7, is the daughter of Cheyenne Hamrick and Josh Waddell. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Debbie Pierce and Glenn and Christine Hedrick. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and will be a second-grade student at Beverly Elementary School. Waddell enjoys doing gymnastics, participating in pageants, dancing, twirling her baton and going to school.

Kendall Nicole Ray, 8, is the daughter of Curlie and Maureen Ray. She is the granddaughter of Curlie Ray Sr, Diane and Conley Ogden, Richard and Paula Campbell, Connie Martin and Rick and Ann Campbell. She has light brown hair and brown eyes, and will be a fourth-grader at Tygart Valley Christian Academy. She enjoys swimming, dancing, coloring and playing with her dogs, Duke and Chole, and her cat, Bella.
