Garden Club hosts Rose Dinner
BUCKHANNON — The Fred Brooks Garden Club hosted its annual Rose Dinner at Audrey’s restaurant in Buckhannon on June 18.
Club members brought samples of roses from their gardens to display during the dinner.
The guest speaker for the evening was Katy Davis McClane, Historic Preservation/Heritage Plants Chair for the West Virginia Garden Club. McClane spoke about heirloom plants.
She explained how plants become heirloom and how club members can assist in preserving heirloom plants.
The hostesses for the evening were Ina Jean Cutright, Cindy Phillips, Naomi Mathey, Patty McComas and Sandra McCutcheon.
