Reams promoted to general manager

ELKINS — Elkins Metal Recycling recently announced the promotion of Mindi Reams to the role of general manager.

She replaces Andrew Gongola, who had served as general manager since 2006 when he purchased the company. Reams had served as office manager since 2009.

“I am excited to bring my skills and my perspective to this role. Through a combination of good equipment, great people and a strong West Virginia economy, I hope to build on the success we have already enjoyed,” Reams said.

Elkins Metal Recycling recycles metal from businesses and individuals in the region. Last year, it recycled 26 million pounds of steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel and lead. For more information about the company, go to
