ELKINS — Once again the Emma Scott Garden Club partnered with the Mountain State Forest Festival to choose three residential homes and one business that reflect the beauty of fall as we approach the 82nd year of this spectacular event that boasts the theme “The Majestic Roads Lead to Royalty.”

Garden Club members will be canvassing neighborhoods and various business sites Oct. 1 to find localities that exhibit the flavor of autumn and serve as an invitation to visitors to spend a little time with us and enjoy our majestic mountain splendor. A former winner’s home is pictured that used mums, flags, pumpkins, hay bales and other colorful ornamentation that was eye-catching and inviting.
